‘Am I SAFE?’ initiative

On Tuesday 6th June 2023 we will be in full support of the ‘Am I Safe’ Initiative, holding our own safety stand-down moment with staff and contractors at our various sites around Ireland in partnership with Uisce Éireann Irish Water.

Uisce Éireann states “Every day over 5,000 people work with us on multi-scale projects and programmes nationwide to deliver transformative water services that enable communities to thrive.

Our priority is to ensure that everyone goes home safely from work each day. While the nature of working on infrastructural development sites is busy and sometimes challenging, it is imperative that each person working on site is acutely aware at all times of the importance of maintaining focus on their individual safety and in looking out for the safety of others too.

On Tuesday 6th June our delivery partners will host a safety stand-down moment with everyone on site to discuss how we can each ensure that no one is hurt on site.

The ‘Am I SAFE?’ initiative is designed to support everyone in having this vital conversation and our SAFE advice helps everyone to assess their safety and that of others before and during every task.

Our core safety belief is that no activity is so important or urgent that it cannot be done safely, and this is at the heart of our ‘AM I SAFE?’ initiative. We are looking forward to continuing this important conversation with everyone so that together with our delivery partners we can make sure that we provide a safe working environment for everyone with a strong proactive safety culture where no one gets hurt.” www.water.ie

Córas were commissioned by the Louth County Council – Public Realm Design Team to deliver the upgrade works on the historic Dundalk Library Garden. The sensory garden project was funded in part by An Roinn Forbartha Tuaithe agus Pobail (Department for Rural and Community Development) in response to the social impact effects of the Covid 19 pandemic. The works included demolition and removal of existing garden furniture, vegetation and structures with follow on upgrade and replacement works including a new disabled access doorway,  new ramp and handrail layout, decorative specialist surfacing, contemporary exterior seating, lighting and heating and a feature automated parasol and canopy (Dundalk library’s secret garden now open – Independent.ie) . Works were overseen and delivered by Spencer Williams and the Córas Building Team.[/vc_column_text][ultimate_heading main_heading=”Archive” heading_tag=”h3″ main_heading_color=”#000000″ alignment=”left” main_heading_style=”font-weight:bold;” main_heading_font_size=”desktop:32px;”][/ultimate_heading][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][dt_blog_list custom_content_bg_color=”#ffc001″ custom_title_color=”#000000″ post_date=”n” post_category=”n” post_author=”n” post_comments=”n” custom_content_color=”#000000″ posts_offset=”0″ category=””][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][/vc_column][/vc_row]
